Speaking at PHP Fest 2008

September 15th, 2008 | by Stefan Esser |

The PHP Korea usergroup has organised an improvised PHP mini-conference and coding session called PHP Fest 2008, which will take place at the end of september in Seoul. The mini-conference is not only sponsored by Microsoft Korea but also takes place in the POSCO building in rooms owned by Microsoft Korea.

I was invited to speak there and will present my talk about security problems usually missing in talks about PHP security.

Session: Lesser Known Security Problems in PHP Applications

When the security of PHP applications is in focus usually standard XSS vulnerabilities, SQL Injections, Remote File Inclusions, Header Injections and CSRF are discussed. However there are a number of different vulnerability classes and non obvious exploitation paths that are as dangerous but lesser known.

This talk will give an insight in such vulnerabilities and how to defend against them.

See you in Seoul at 28th September.

The talk will be very similar (if not the same) as my talk on the ZendCon that I gave yesterday. The ZendCon talk will be up soon on this blog.
